Founded By: Rodney Freeman, President & CEO

While spending over 18 years at Auerbach Construction, Inc., 10 as President and CEO, Rodney Freeman guided the company into a multi-faceted building, development and construction management organization. Founded in 1993, Freeman Group, Inc. has emerged as one of the West Coast’s premiere construction management and consulting firms, providing owner’s representative services, Construction Management, Development Management and building evaluation programs that set the standards for the real estate industry. Now in it's second decade, Freeman Group, Inc., manages all types of projects with specialization in community/non-profit centers including schools, community centers, corporate headquarters/commercial buildings and custom estate residential properties. Rodney Freeman has personally been responsible for and involved in the construction of more than 400 projects valued at over $600 million.

Freeman Group, Inc. has provided building evaluation services for transactions valued at over three billion dollars consisting of over 60,000,000 square feet. With his expertise provided to every project and building evaluation, Freeman continues to save clients hundreds of thousands of dollars managing the building process and evaluating their buildings.

In 1997 Freeman expanded into real estate investments and development by co-founding Metro Properties LLC. Metro Properties has successfully purchased, renovated and repositioned many office, retail and industrial projects throughout Southern California.

A native of Los Angeles, Freeman attended the Architecture and Construction Management Program at L.A. Pierce College and furthered his studies at the Construction Management Program in the School of Engineering at California State University at Long Beach. He received his Masters of Business Administration Degree at Pepperdine University in Malibu. Freeman furthered his studies as a Wexner fellow. In addition to his educational degrees, Freeman holds a California State Contractors License and California State Real Estate License. He is also an active member of the panel of arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association.

Freeman's community and charitable involvement includes: Chairman of the Building Committees for The Jewish Federation Goldsmith Center and the University of Judaism. He is also a member of the Construction Committee for the City of Hope for the construction of a new $180 million facility; Member of the Board of Directors for the Jewish Federation, UCLA Hillel, Santa Monica YMCA, and Executive Board of the University of Judaism. Freeman now chairs the Board of Directors of the Zimmer Children’s Museum with his wife Beth. He is a Co-Founder and past Chairman of the Moriah Society Real Estate Council, member of the executive committee for the Real Estate and Construction Division of the United Jewish Fund, and a trustee/CFO for a private, charitable foundation. Freeman also has lectured at UCLA’s continuing education program.
